MY TINOS PROJECT
My Tinos Project is a dynamic digital initiative of the Tinos Virtual Museum, aiming to collect, document and highlight personal narratives connected to the island, everyday life, and its cultural expressions.
It functions as an open, participatory platform where the public is invited to contribute material such as oral testimonies, photographs, audio recordings or videos—forming a collective repository of memory.
Η δράση εστιάζει στην τεκμηρίωση της άυλης πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς της Τήνου, μέσα από τις εμπειρίες και τις αφηγήσεις κατοίκων, επισκεπτών και όσων διατηρούν δεσμούς με το νησί. Αναδεικνύεται έτσι ο ρόλος της ατομικής και συλλογικής μνήμης στην κατανόηση του πολιτισμικού τοπίου και της κοινωνικής ιστορίας του τόπου.
My Tinos Project incorporates contemporary methods of digital museology and public history, serving as a tool for dialogue and cultural proximity. Through the promotion of lived experiences and oral tradition, Tinos is approached not merely as a geographical place, but as a bearer of meaning, identity and cultural continuity.
Participation is open to all, with the goal of building a living and ever-expanding archive of the island.
