PERMANENT COLLECTION
The Permanent Collection of Tinos Virtual Museum (TVM) offers an innovative cultural experience, where the history and character of Tinos are highlighted through modern digital media. Created in collaboration with esteemed scientists and researchers, it provides a multi-layered narrative that integrates interactive screens, projections, and virtual reality (VR) technologies.
The collection presents the island’s long history, geological formation, unique architecture and church building tradition, folk culture, flora, and both traditional and fine arts. It emphasizes the significance of stone and quarries, the tradition of marble craftsmanship, local customs, native plants, and Tinos’ gastronomic heritage. At the same time, VR technology allows visitors to digitally explore iconic landmarks of the island.
